On Na2O and K2O Behaviour in Blast Furnace Operation
London/Teesside 11 September 2025: Binding Solutions Limited (“BSL” or the “Company”) is pleased to publish a presentation delivered at the International Congress on the Science and Technology of Ironmaking in Beijing in August, ‘On Na2O and K2O Behaviour in Blast Furnace Operation’.
The presentation, delivered by Maarten Geerdes of Geerdes Advies, is based on a paper of the same name co-written by Binding Solutions’ Head of Ironmaking Technology, Peter Warren.
Peter Warren is a highly experienced technology manager and expert in blast furnace processes. Prior to joining Binding Solutions, Peter was Development Metallurgist, Blast Furnaces at British Steel Scunthorpe, investigating CO2 reduction options for blast furnaces. He has also worked as technical manager of the Redcar Blast Furnace under SSI and Research Group Manager at the Materials Processing Institute, responsible for project optimisation and managing the delivery of research projects in steelmaking and associated sectors.
He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (MSc) from the University of Cambridge.
