London/Teesside 10 March 2025: Binding Solutions Limited (“BSL” or the “Company”), the developer of green steel technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Stewart as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). Jon is a highly experienced executive with over 30 years of experience leading international steel technology businesses. Julian Lee, who has led BSL as CEO since October 2016, will stay with the Company as Co-Chairman.

Jon joins BSL from Primetals Technologies Limited (“Primetals”), one of the world’s leading providers of technologies, solutions, and services to the global metals industry. At Primetals, Jon was Business Director of Metallurgical Services, responsible for Primetals’ UK Portfolio and was previously Head of the Global Blast Furnace business and downstream Rolling and Processing UK business. Before Primetals, Jon held a number of management positions at the multinational technology conglomerate Siemens and Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau. He started his career at Davy International where he was responsible for delivering steel projects in South Africa and Korea.

Jon holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He is also a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Board Member of the University of Sheffield’s Technical College Multi Academy Trust. Jon was previously President of Sheffield’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
