A CLEANER, HIGHER VALUE PROCESS
Primary materials: BSL’s cold agglomeration process requires less energy compared to the traditional iron ore induration pellet process.

Energy reductions of 80% vs induration and 98% vs sintering are common.

CO2 emissions reduced by 95% vs induration and 99% vs sintering.
Waste and by-products: BSL’s technology allows steel and mining companies to monetise their waste and by-products, converting an environmental hazard into a clean, revenue stream. BSL uses small amounts of organic polymer vs large amounts of cement/bentonite. This results in a purer, higher quality product.
Development work: BSL is continuously innovating to improve binder formulations, pellet characteristics and provide further solutions for environmental reclamation. BSL is currently working on a programme which will significantly reduce SOx and NOx emissions in the steel-making process, removing the need for high-energy consuming plants.
